This time, I'm thrilled to share with you a dream that roared into reality – an exhilarating ride through the breathtaking landscapes of Cabo on a UTV!
A Bucket List Dream Revs to Life
UTV and side-by-side have always beckoned me with their promise of thrill and freedom. I've eyed them in every country I've visited, but the steep price tag often pumped the brakes on my plans. However, in Cabo, the stars aligned, and I decided it was time to rev up the engine on this long-awaited adventure.
The Upgrade That Shifted Everything
Upon arrival, my excitement shifted into overdrive, and I made a spur-of-the-moment decision to upgrade to a private tour. Yes, it meant shelling out a couple hundred extra dollars per couple, but here's why it was a no-brainer for me:
1. Personal Safety Net: I always travel with personal insurance, especially for high-risk adventures, to ensure peace of mind. While it didn't cover the off-roading vehicle, the private tour gave me a sense of security, allowing me to focus on the fun.
2. Freedom to Explore: No more following the herd! We had the liberty to set our own pace, race ahead, or take leisurely breaks to soak in the stunning views – all without the constraints of a convoy.
3. Exclusive Photo Ops: With my trusty photographer in tow, the private tour meant we could capture epic shots and behind-the-scenes footage without interruptions or jostling for the perfect angle.
The Ride of a Lifetime
And so, we embarked on what would be one of the most unforgettable rides of my life. The ATV roared beneath me as we conquered mountains and skirted the coastline. The vistas were a feast for the senses – the crystal blue waters shimmered on one side, while the stark beauty of the desert stretched out on the other.
Worth Every Penny
One thing I'd do differently next time is set aside a little extra to ensure Steve gets his own UTV, allowing him to drive as much as he wants. He was such a good sport, willingly giving up his opportunity to drive in the second half because I was absolutely thrilled at the wheel. Despite not being the tallest and having to stretch to reach the pedals, it didn't dampen my spirit or slow me down. I maxed out the speedometer as we raced down the white sands, with the crystal blue waters on one side and the majestic desert landscape on the other. Next time, I'll make sure Steve gets to experience just as much of the driving excitement as I did.
