Let’s talk travel books:
I was honored when THE TRAVEL COLLECTIVE asked me to be one of the authors to speak about my latest #1 Best Seller at their first "Let’s Talk Travel Books" tour.
The Camera
Do you like being on camera? To let you in on a little secret, I'm not a big fan and when it comes to being on video and doing interviews. I can't sleep for days and sometimes even weeks before my appearances. I'm asked to do a lot of guest appearances and 75% of the time the appearance is turned down. However, when April and Cindy ask you to be a part of their first "Let’s Talk Travel Books" you don't pass up the opportunity.
Showing Up
Like always THE TRAVEL COLLECTIVE knocked it out of the park with 7 amazing travel authors from around the world who all shared something about their books. I really enjoyed listening to the other travel authors and hearing what they had to offer.
I was so nervous leading up to the interview. My little script had been worked on for weeks. I had practiced what I was going to say during my five minutes of live air time.
It never fails, when the camera was turned on I forgot everything I had practiced, but it didn't matter I still pulled it off. It's kinda like traveling with a map, sometimes you follow it and other times you improvise.
